Tilting Point and Polygon Studios have announced a long-term partnership in Web3 games. Tilting Point will publish its games, of which 10 are in the works, using the Polygon network to integrate Web3 features.
A look back at well-known titles
Of the 10 games linked to this partnership, three are existing titles. They are Astrokings, from developer AN Games, recently acquired by Tilting Point, The Walking Dead: Casino Slots and Chess Universe.
Polygon’s Ryan Wyatt said in a statement, “We’re gearing up to bring a new level of quality to Web3 games, gained through a decade of mobile game design and publishing. This partnership will help solidify Web3’s place in the gaming industry, and we look forward to beginning to develop games that promote user ownership and immersive gameplay.”
A partnership that will put Tilting Point at the forefront
According to Samir Agili, CEO of Tilting Point, this partnership will make the company the ideal developer for both Web3 native developers and those looking to bridge their games from Web2. As he said in an interview with GamesBeat, “Tilting Point’s strength lies in having hosted some fantastic developers over the years, working with some of the best indie developers in the business, delivering major IPs (SpongeBob SquarePants, Walking Dead, Star Trek) on existing tools and making them better.”
In addition to Polygon, Tilting Point has also partnered with Stardust, a platform that helps developers integrate NFT into their projects. The partnership was announced earlier this year.
So we’re looking forward to seeing what this promising partnership between Tilting Point and Polygon has in store for us. It is interesting to see that the company has chosen to turn to Web 3.0, like many others before it. Now, only time will tell if the results live up to the expectations of the gamer community.
