The Disney entertainment group is looking for candidates with expertise in non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The objective of these recruitments is to enable the company to enter the digital object sector and seize its opportunities.
Disney is looking for experts in NFTs
On its website, Disney has posted a job opening indicating that it is looking for candidates with experience in the non-fungible token (NFT) sector.
In total, the company would like to recruit 4 people to create a team dedicated to NFTs. The positions sought are: Director of Sales and Digital Marketing, Director of Cultural Trends Marketing, Director of Business Development and Business Development.
The objective of the team manager is very clear: he/she will have to help Disney to integrate in the NFTs field while monitoring the market evolution.
In addition, the manager will also have to define a strategy for growth opportunities in this sector.
In order to land the position, candidates will need to meet certain criteria:
“Candidates must have a minimum of five years of licensing or business development experience, knowledge of and passion for digital categories and NFTs, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Keynote,”
the release said.
This search on Disney’s part is not insignificant, however, as the company recently announced it was working on its own metaverse.
Disney launches into the metaverse
On December 28, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office validated Disney’s patent application that referred to a virtual world simulator.
In other words, Disney is currently working on its own metaverse. The latter will be accessible without virtual reality headset or smartphone and will be used to enrich the group’s theme parks.
In addition to the metaverse project, it is important to note that Disney has a priceless collection of souvenirs. Thus, converting these into digital assets could attract large collectors.
Therefore, it is likely that Disney will take advantage of these new technologies in the future, focusing in particular on the metaverse, digital objects, and all NFTs.
