For casino operator Partouche, metavers and Web3 sound like a no-brainer and a “massive revolution.” Patrick Partouche, chairman of the supervisory board, recently revealed his desire to combine slot machines, cryptocurrency and NFT. Place your bets!
Cryptos accepted in partouche casinos
The announcement is clear: the Partouche group and its 39 casinos will accept some cryptocurrencies as of this year. For Patrick Partouche -son of Isodore Partouche, founder of the group- accepting cryptocurrencies within his establishments seems to be the logical evolution of the world of nightlife and gambling.
“Satisfying the owner of the token: this is the philosophy of the company and its employees.”
Although he has not yet specified which crypto-currencies it will be, Patrick Partouche emphasizes that it will be a question of the “strongest cryptos, (…) as for traditional currencies.”
With a desire to modernize and attract 18-35 year olds, Patrick Partouche made one announcement after another at NFT Day 2022. The group plans to do much more than simply accept cryptocurrencies at its tables. Indeed, an NFT collection named Joker Club is about to be launched, as well as a subsidiary entirely dedicated to metaverse-related projects.
“We’ve been innovating for 20 years, we’ve never been content with just running slot machines and gaming tables, we’ve always been about the games of tomorrow”
Joker club: the NFT collection of partouche
Detailed by Maurice Schulmann, president of the Partouche Multiverse subsidiary, the NFT Joker Club collection is said to be complete already. The collection is composed of 8,888 coins, “each representing a unique joker with different attributes. Also, owning an NFT from the collection will be like being the lucky owner of a pass giving access to numerous advantages in the group’s casinos and hotels.
“This project is the first of many to come, and new initiatives will follow to ensure that the subsidiary remains a part of the ecosystem and creates the entertainment of tomorrow.
Patrick Partouche
With its recent announcements, the French group Partouche is paving the way for a new way of thinking about gambling. For Patrick Partouche, the objective is to reinvent the experience of an evening spent at the casino, especially for younger people, for whom it might seem a bit old-fashioned. For the president of the Partouche Multiverse subsidiary, the ambition is to become “a leading player in 3.0 entertainment”.
